O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery sits at 1,800 feet on the heralded Howell Mountain appellation in the beautiful Napa Valley. Founded in 1996, the estate encompasses one hundred and twenty acres.
Winemaker Sean Capiaux has overseen the planting of the vineyard and selected numerous clones of Cabernet Sauvignon and all seven of the historic Bordeaux varietals for this unique property.
O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery uses modern equipment to produce non-interventionist wines that are naturally fermented and bottled unfined and unfiltered. These techniques allow the varietal character and terroir of O’Shaughnessy Estate vineyards to be the stars of the show.
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
"The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is blended of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 5% Merlot, 3% St. Macaire, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it reveals notions of scorched earth, tar, tilled black soil and fungi over a core of blackcurrant cordial, aniseed, dark chocolate and espresso plus a waft of tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated and very earthy in the mouth, the rich, black fruits are superbly framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and mineral laced."

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is redolent of warm blackberries and black cherries with hints of Indian spices, fertile soil, cedar and hoisin. Big, full-bodied and voluptuous in the mouth, the concentrated, multilayered fruit is well framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. "

Oakville Chardonnay
O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
The 2017 Chardonnay was fermented and sur lie aged for 11 months in 40% new French oak barrels, 38% neutral oak, and 22% stainless steel barrels. The resulting wine is radiant yellow with notes of bee's wax and flower blossom. On the palate you are greeted with lemon zest and baked pie crust. Flavors of golden delicious apple are followed by a rich, yet bright acidity that flows into a long persistent finish, making this a refreshingly complex and memorable wine.
